OSCPA's December Happenings

The OSCPA's annual Oklahoma Tax Institute, CPE Blowout and monthly Lunch + Learn provided members the opportunity to network and engage their peers. Catch up on all of the festivities in our recap below. 

Oklahoma Tax Institute

The OSCPA's staple Oklahoma Tax Institute was hosted November 30 - December 1 in Broken Arrow. More than 250 attendees joined both in-person and online to attend the Society's most comprehensive tax event of the year. 

Attendees had the opportunity to earn up to 16 hours of CPE and CLE credit throughout the two-day event.

The conference boasted spectacular speakers for the 2023 sessions. Andrew Mattson, CPA, Lisa McKinney, CPA, and Tony Nitti, CPA, joined us for the first time and Chris Keuehl, Ph.D., Bruce McGovern, JD, LLM, Mel Schwarz, Tony Mastin, JD, and OSCPA member Jimmy Williams, CPA/PFS, CFP were brought back by popular demand. 

OSCPA CPE Blowout

With an all-new format this year, attendees were given the opportunity to earn up to 40 hours of CPE throughout the entire week. Each person could build their schedule by choosing from 12 different four-hour courses over the five days covering hot topics and updates in management, taxation, technology, financial planning, accounting, auditing, ethics and compilations.

The OSCPA had more than 250 people join both in person and virtually throughout the entire week to hear from our amazing speakers James Giannantonio, MS, CPA/CGMA, CIA, Edgar Gee, CPA, MBA, Brian F. Tankersly, CPA, CITP, CGMA, and Kurt G. Oestriecher, CPA. 

OSCPA Lunch + Learn

More than 100 members joined the OSCPA for this month's Lunch + Learn, which was offered in-person and virtually.

This month, Michele Walker, Oklahoma City Young Professionals (OKCYP) Board Member discussed tips and tricks to connect with other professionals in a post-pandemic world. 

OSCPA Lunch + Learns are offered each month, FREE for members. Lunch is provided for in-person attendees, and those who attend can receive one hour of recommended CPE credit. 

Don't miss January's Lunch + Learn! OSCPA member Raychel Clark, CPA, joins us to talk about the importance of creating a work-life balance. This course is offered both in-person and virtually.
