Session Sneak Peek: Rowdy McCauley

Rowdy McCauley has worked in the oil and gas industry as a land professional for over 15 years. His work experience includes various roles at top energy organizations, including Flywheel Energy, EOG Resources, 89 Energy, and Southwestern Energy Company. After realizing mineral valuation data was being underutilized, he founded Rowdy Resources.
He uses his years of education and industry experience to aid in his management and valuation of oil and gas assets for land owners in Oklahoma through Rowdy Resources as well as works in management of assets for Flywheel Energy in Arkansas.
Q&A with Rowdy McCauley
OSCPA: Why should members attend your session?
Rowdy: As "trusted advisors," our state's CPAs are often called upon by oil and gas mineral owners, as clients, to discuss the impacts of valuing, leasing, or transferring their oil and gas minerals. This Lunch + Learn will aid in educating our state's CPAs on the market conditions (past and present) surrounding oil and gas minerals across Oklahoma. With this knowledge, our state's CPAs can be better equipped to counsel their clients on valuing, leasing, or transferring their oil and gas minerals.
OSCPA: Is there anything you think is unique to your session on Oklahoma's Oil & Gas Mineral?
Rowdy: Yes; I've created the first-ever, market-based oil and gas mineral valuation platform.
OSCPA: What do you hope attendees will take away from your session?
Rowdy: I hope attendees take away that our state's CPAs can be better equipped to counsel their clients on valuing, leasing, or transferring their oil and gas minerals.
OSCPA: What inspired you to start Rowdy Resources, LLC?
Rowdy: I recognized a need for an "owner-focused" company to aid in the managing and valuing of oil and gas assets. There are very few truly existent companies to support the private owners in Oklahoma. Rowdy Resources, LLC, can be a trusted resource for owners, and their "trusted advisors," to rely on for all aspects of oil and gas asset management.
